We need to fight the rising tide of religious zealotry and the creeping specter of socialism. Your proposal = two birds with one stone.'

Scary times my friend! The consequences would be far reaching and felt for many years. It may only escalate terrorism in the west. But don't get me wrong Iran IS worse (violent, barbaric, harboring terrorists etc.) than Iraq. And Religious extremism, or any extreme ideological agenda, needs to be fought against. How we do that is the major question for debate and reflection.

Also a mixture of Socialism has and does work here in Australia (housing, most education, university loans, universal medicare, Pharmaceuticals Benefit Scheme, and welfare.). Our Government has had surpluses in the multiple Billions and has done so for about a decade. We have a strong overall economy with a healthy GDP. The Government invests in the poor as to grow them out of poverty and into independence, and it can work. Yet I acknowledge not all 'grow'. Thanks for your reply!

The Presidential Election. The best chance Senator McCain has to win the November elections is a major escalation in the war on terrorism, the terrorist threat becoming the greatest concern of voters in the November elections. Striking against Iran's nuclear sites in September could accomplish this.

Lol, youre the 1st person to disagree with something Ive said on here that didnt choose to include an insult. Thanks for that.
Of all my time in the military I never once felt like I was being supported by a republican or democrat. I have felt like I was betrayed by both sides but more so republicans.
I do not feel like its a bad system. I think its currently being run by people who are looking out for their personal interest instead of the interests of those they are elected to represent. Notice I said people instead of republicans.
People always scream "Socialism!!" when democrats push for speding that would help bring up poor people. Rebulicans are pushing for reforms of one of the biggest socialist expenditures in the history of the world, Social Security. The reason it needs to be reformed is because the government has been taking from it for the past 2 decades to support military spending.
Money does not equal support. How many kids in the US are without a father figure even though their father is paying child support.
Wearing a flag pin or putting a yellow ribbon magnet made in china on the back of your car does not equal support.
A person who educates themselves about an issue before they cast a vote based on that issue supports the military.
A lack of knowledge is exactly how this war started. Prez Bush has all but stated that he lied to the senate and congress to get the war started.
