Sure, that was a pretty dumb fuckup, but its damn better than thugs in uniforms ganging up random black people.
Police brutality? Yes. Racism? Probably. Lethal Tasers? Nope.
If both probes land between the second and third ribs on the left side of the torso on a small child, AND the gun mysteriously puts out twice as much energy as its physically capable of doing so, then yes, it could cause ventricular fibrillation.
Other than that, death could occur simply due to the stress of the experience combined with drug use or prior health conditions, but that has nothing to do with the taser. Its like, if you pull out a gun and give someone a heart attack, they weren't killed by the gun.
Look up the autopsy reports for every incident and its the same thing- he was tased, died from something unrelated, and the taser was blamed.
If you commit rape under biblical law, you get fined.
If you commit rape under Islamic law (when its applied properly), they take you out in public and decapitate you with a sword.

I actually AM pretty liberal, which means I think the only reason to have any laws at all is to protect innocents from harm. If that means beating, or even killing an attacker, so be it: 8 dead rapists is better than 1 dead victim.
Any rule that suggests otherwise, is not a law: It is a tyranny, which makes it your civic duty to oppose, disobey, and fight against it, regardless of the consequences.
Those who think this anarchistic need only take a peek at the US Constitution: Overthrowing a tyrannical government is a fundamental right, and the origin of the country, for that matter.
She's definitely alive- I'd actually give her a decent prognosis: She's lost her hand at the wrist, which is obviously not vital, and everything below the waist, but the only stuff there is genitals, bladder, and a bit of large intestine. Really, the only lethal threat is blood loss, so if she gets prompt medical attention, she should be fine.

...Uh, no he doesn't. I can't quite tell, but it sounds more like 'stop firing' or 'stop fighting': Something to the effect of 'lie down on the ground'.
Now, whether that kind of response was justified depends what the last hour looked like: This happening at a traffic stop is dramatically different than at the end of a high-speed chase with shots fired and casualties (to name two extremes).

If anyone has some useful info, that'd be great.

In case you're interested, the Iraqi government recently arrested four people for this poor girl's murder (presumably instigators, or just those who could be positively identified).
Its really too little too late, considering prior police negligence and continuing widespread misogyny, but at least its something.

In point of fact, that's my point: Time and time again humans have commited horrendous atrocitites against one another out of xenophobia, scapegoatism, or plain old ignorance, and then justified it by association with their religion (be it Islam or Christianity) In spite of the fact that none of these religions condone or even tolerate this kind of behavior.

Example: Some guy yells "Allah Ackbar!" and blows himself up... Uh, Islam strictly forbids suicide in all forms, dumbass.

I don't know whether to be amused or irritated that everyone assumed they're Muslims. In all likelihood this could be India (or an Arab nation, of course, though it would have to be an extremely conservative sector), and in any case, similar events occur in the name of some God or another on a regular basis pretty much everywhere: By supposed Muslims in the Middle East and North Africa, by supposed Christians in South America and elsewhere, by supposed Hindus and Sikhs in India, by supposed Shintos and Buddhists is Southeast Asia, under the guise of a hundred tribal religions in Africa, and by people like you here in the US and Europe. In every case it all comes down to xenophobia.

Aeschylus got it right: "Everyone is quick to blame the alien".
