An Iraqi Guard is shot in the leg by some terrorist scum. God I hate these guys not only because they are scum but they always have the worst taste in music. Get iTunes already.
Yeah way to go scumbag, Shoot the guys that are trying to help you assholes rebuild your shithole of a country. - This is why we will never stop until we get you all. - It's shit like this that proves that these extremists need to be eradticated. - And also that their snipers are shithouse marksmen. - :Allah SnackBar", will be drowned out by Marines yelling "Get Some!!!!!" -
The war against Islamic Extremism is only being fought in Iraq is it? - The war on extremism is not even in Iraq anymore. It is more global than now before and now.....Iraq is just a training grounds for all sides participating. - Australia is Concentrating on Afghanistan. We are rallying hard for the eradication of the poppy fields there as it funds about 70% of terrorism. We are also strenthening our troop levels there, which I think is better for the future when the shit hits the fan in Pakistan, (Which it will as soon as Nawaz Sharif gets rid of Musharraf). - We are just looking to the future. Iraq has none. Sorry to say it, not really. - We also need to think of ourselves...we are not a large population that can throw tens of thousands of troops around the world at any given time....we contribute what we can, when we can. - Do not underestimate the determination of Australia and the fight against Islamic Radicals. Our military and political leaders are focused on this mission. - Afterall, we have the largest Muslim populations just above our heads in Idonesia etc, and jamaah islamiah is the most primitive and barbaric terror org of them all...and al-Qaeda and it's cells know this. - A long-term strategy is needed, that is what we are implementing regarding our actions........there is no strategy at all in Iraq and it is unappreciated for the most of it. -
Hey, bro, you know that poppy seeds also represent about 90% of Afghanistan's legitimate exports. right? - By stopping the growing and selling of poppy seeds and its byproducts, you would also kill an innocent society as well. - Just food for thought. Cheers
I know....and that is the problem. - That is why it needs commitment from the international community....as it won't be solved overnight. - But regarding the financing, and the heroin on the streets also financing most of the scum of the earth.....it is a problem that does NOT need a "It's too hard to work this out" given by any of our leaders....heroin is everywhere and killing the same amount of people as the war on terror and financing it at the same time. - It's a probelm that cannot be swepted under a rug......it's just that an alternative employment strategy needs to be worked out and implemented. It's gonna take time and money. - I know what you mean though.....there is tens of thousands of innocent and moderate muslims there just trying to make a living......but in the end they are still contributing to certain warlords fortune, power and reputation....and you yourself would know that this is not a good thing for any of the coalition soldiers stationed there and not good for the wellbeing of the people. - This money is the foundation and cornerstone regarding the continuation of the enemies logistics for their soldiers. We knock out their legs, their got nothing to stand up and fight with. As a full fledged militia anyways. Rag tags will always remain....poverty will always breed hate. - -------->>4U Memphis -
I wouldn't blame a seed in itself for funding terroris; thats silly. Neither would I blame good-intentioned farmers anymore than I would blame tobacco farmers for growing their crop. Like the cancer-ridden smokers of America, I would blame the problem on the distributers of the product. - Both of our governments and intelligence services know that the heart of 85% of global terrorism is rooted in and funded by Al Qaeda, a legitimate (mostly) contruction and international trade company owned by the Bin Laden family (not just Osama). This organization if spread across the Arab world like the Mafia, with branches on every continent, even one that SUPPLIES to the U.S. - Our governments also know that hunting this beast is impossible due to the enormous amount of funding, front groups, and fucking RagHead muscle standind in the way; they are everywhere and nowhere. - The real bitch about this war is that we cannot fight the Beast which is Islamic Fascism by attacking its legs as we have in the past. It is ingeniusly and complexly structured. The only way to kill it, it seems, is to attack militant group after militant group and work our way backwards. - This will undoubtably last until the end of time; people will keep buying drugs, Fucktards will keep selling them, and idealogical extremists will continue to just raise more armies. The religious basis is there, all they need to do is pull the "holy" Jihad card and they bought another soul. - Truly, at its core, this is an idealogical and religious war; on the surfice as well, then as you search more it seems deeply political, but if you reach deep enough, you discover that over there, religion and politics are inseparable. - Ultimately, we will have to make a decision about what is most important to us, both of our nations and many others like them; we will have to decide between political correctness/apathy (the easy road) or freedom, the pursuit of rightiousness, and the voice of our own God. - The only way to weed out such enemies is to take a stand for something personal and deep and cut its heart out the same way they are doing it to us. The Isrealis and their MOSSAD are lightyears ahead of us in counter-terrorism and intelligence; it would take that same dedication to do what is necessary. - What is the biggest problem plaguing global current events today? Is is apathy or ignorance? General response: "I don't know, and I don't care." - I don't know about you guys, but this warrior fights with every breath. - Peace all, and God Bless America! - Semper fi and this to you AU>>>

- On a broard spectrum, Break the terror org system down and the machines cogs are greased and oiled by the illegal market. Drugs being the highest finance gatherer. Only second to the sex industry...but Islam forbids sexual deviency so he is not in that field. It might seem like a small thing and not caught much....but there is so much more drugs getting out of Afghanistan that is undiscovered...and why wouldn't there, even though Pakistan say they have the borders covered, they are full of shit and only a small percentage of the borders are monitored at any given time and the searches are random when they are. Even Afghanistan itself has a Heroin epedemic now. To not blame the farmers who grow these ingredients is an easy way to prolong the problem indefinately and the terror operatives know this and play on it. The byproducts are less an issue of course but in most cases are just a front. Like growing 1000 acres of Marijuana just for hemp.....yeah, it is one of the strongest natural fibres on earth, but every government that has harvested Hemp, also sold the THC leaves and buds as medicibal uses. That is where the money is. Even Australia did this in the past. With that said, I do not believe that there is ANY poppy field that in the end will not be used and distributed as Opium. They grow it because they have no choice....there is always a choice.....but it should also be known that these byproducts, are not enough to keep them and their families going...it is the drug produced from poppy's that is the seller. -

- Even before Osama went to Afghanistan to help the Taliban drive out the Soviets...OBL had been banished from Saudi Arabia and banished from the bin laden companies. He had he's own construction company by that time and that is what he used to reconstruct much of the destroyed Afghanistan during and after the soviet invasion. I do realise that the US and other power nations all have dealings with the Bin Laden family and anyone that has dealing or business's in Dubai, will have worked with this family at one point or another. But the family is competition for OBL and thus, has driven his workers from many parts of the world. Osama's contruction monopoly s not enough to keep the terror org alive 100%. Drugs are plentiful and easily grown and distributed becuase of our "love for the innocent farmer" And when it comes to illegal and large scale arms dealers....drugs are more of a bargaining chip, than money. The drugs will accumulate more of a profit for the arms dealers, then the exchange of money for their weapons. Even in OBL's teenage years his family did not ever agree with his fanatacism and extreme views and banished him a couple of decades ago. Even though conspiracy theorist like to believe that because the US has dealing with the Bin laden Family, that it instantly means that they have dealings with OBL...but this is a fallacy. They had dealings with him in the 80's, but that was only because we shared enemies. Out of the whole bin laden family...there were only a couple of his relatives that agreed and supported him........the rest have banished him from their lands and their hearts. - I could say much more...But this chain is going to break the borders of this page. :-) - Anyways....endless battle I agree. The time of kissing ass has to be over sooner or later. The more it's disregarded and diverted from view the more the problem will rise....and the more it rises, the more of our own people are affected. How many of our own lives have to be lost before our governments crash tackle the issue in a cold but effective manner. - ---->>4U Memphis. -
The answers, I'm saying are much simple and less expensive than people realize. You are still talking about eliminating poppy seeds in itself to eliminate terrorism; all I'm saying, however, is that you cannot just simply suggest that we eliminate a way of life for countless thousands just like that and expect it to get better over night. - We very well could kill or other wise cripple the poppy seed and heroine trade in no time at all, but then you're talking about a famine of insane proportions followed by a media, political, and possibly a military war. It creates just as many problems, more immediately harmful, than it solves. Instead of concentrating our efforts on the drug industry, which will take a very long time to CONVERT into something less sinister, we can instead revert back to what gave us incredible, immediate results in fighting the Taliban, Al Qaeda and the like over the last couple decades, before Iraqi Freedom: Special Operations. - SpecOps teams from Great Britain, AU, Russia, and of course the U.S. SEALs, Marine Force Recon, Rangers and Special Forces had unprecedented success against these douchebags, because it's is by far what they do best, search and destroy. We are fighting a guerilla war, before, during, and after Iraq, and it cannot be fought by conventional forces. This is basic knowledge to those familiar with military operations in standard and in recent history. - However, because of the bloated media war that now rages globally, I don't think the American people would ever except finding about a more secret war, which they will. If you want to find these fuckers, you have to use good old-fashioned detective work. We have he resources, training, intel, and men. The only thing we don't have is support from our respective populaces. - I hate to say it, but maybe we ARE due for another 9/11. I'm no pessimist; I'm a Marine; I love my country. However, people need a slap in the face. They need to feel how real and terrible these people are; they need to be reminded that there is a very real threat and it affects there lives directly. Only they are responsible. - Thats my ultimate point, at least for us here in U.S. I'm not as attuned to the fine people of AU. My point is tha this war will not be one by the military initially; the military cannot do their jobs without support of their people. - 50 years ago, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Rationality is inconvenient for the new reality. - May we take solice, with caution, of course, in our realization of ACTUALITY. - For you, AU
Memphis ol' mate....I am with you all the way. - I was stating a political method. but..... - I am more for what you spoke of personally. - There is no other way but boots on ground and it has for the most part been the only way things have been settled in history. - The drug factor is only one portion of the whole equation....important but not enough to sway the war the way an army of allied soldiers on the ground can. The drug topic can be settled later. - It's hard (and sometimes Impossible), to find a middle ground that wins Hearts & Minds on all sides. - Sometimes Minds have to be the priority....hearts come later when all has settled down. - It's a sad but true occurence. - Apart from these exchange of opinions here Memphis...I am sure we are very much on the same page. -

Oh SNAP! Here we go! A good political debate with both side making good points! But you know i Got to take side with the Jarhead!
Bullshit, Australia pulled out of Iraq because we had a change of government and the new government does not support the war in Iraq. It has fuck all to do with Afghanistan. http://www.radioaustralia .net.au/news/stor...06/s2 262944.htm And don't make out like we as doing fuck all, we are just a token force. What the hell is 500 aussie going to do in Iraq.
No shit..........That is widely known....I am not denying that. But don't think that Rudd wants to wipe his hands of the war on terror all together. He still has views like Howard.....his advisors and himself have learnt from howard's mistakes and and NOT Surrending from the war.....They are simply RE-DIRECTING their focus. - And don't underestimate the power of 500 troops. Well equipted and well supplied...they could hold an area indefinatlely, Even without airsupport. - Look at Afghan (& also in Iraq in places)....we have small Spec Op teams working in there that have, and continue to kick ass there. And Recon is a more important factor then some would realise. As Recon soldiers are usually the first boots to touch the ground on any hostile territory......small forces are a necessity....not becuase it is our limitation. -
Mate your talking shit. Aussie do fuck all, we are a token force. So much so that our soldiers are complaining about the lack of combat. Aussies are ashamed to wear their uniform in front of other allies because we get all of the low risk missions. Read mate read: http://www.abc.net.au/new s/stories/2008/05...?sect ion=justin Mate the yanks have over 200,000 troops in Iraq what difference is 500 Aussies going to make. None, it's just a token gesture. No beers for you, you have clearly already had too many.
Norrs, I am not saying that Australia is going to win the war by ourselves....I know we have fuck all in there and our duties are minimal..........and even those duties will cease when they are also pulled from Iraq. There will only be Australian private contractors on our behalf in there eventually. Iraq is a lost cause for the moment...we know that...they know that and our government knows it. but we can only do what we can do....as you said, we are only a token force. And unfortuantly there is and will be low moral........this war has dragged out for many years with no sign of dulling anytime in the near future......our troops are fighting and feeling unappreciated for it. They are Coalition soldiers, thus tied to all nations involved and anything that one nation does wrong, can and will hinder another nation's progress in their individual goals and missions. -
Kaos, you went from "This is why we will never stop until we get you all" to "I am not saying that Australia is going to win the war by ourselves....I know we have fuck all in there and our duties are minimal..........and even those duties will cease when they are also pulled from Iraq. There will only be Australian private contractors on our behalf in there eventually. Iraq is a lost cause." ...and all it took was norrs to point out that Kevin Rudd ran on an anti war ticket and that and that australia has fuck all impact on the so called War On Terror. Although that might be a good thing, i dont think its possible to wage war on a noun. but I digress.
spunktubber on Jul 17 08 : 11:28am wrote: Kevin Rudd ran on an anti war ticket
- If you have heard all his speeches, you would know that he is not 100% anti-war.......he still sees the need to cover all bases and create a "What If" scenario.....Better To Be Safe Than Sorry. - I think I am using the word "we" too loosely. And you are both not getting my point. I am not speaking solely of Iraq itself. I am speaking on a Global scale. I am aware of what actions we have and are taking in Iraq. - I emphasize the "we" as a representation of an accumulative mindset that is against Islamic fanaticism.....and the "[we] will never stop" just means that this mindset will never give up or surrender. We all know the war in Iraq will soon change as the Iraqi government and it's forces have 100% control again. History WILL repeat itself but we'll worry about that later.....There are more strategic actions that have to be carried out elsewhere. - I have never stated that we were ever a large percentage of contributing forces. I also have never stated that we have a large enough force to attain victory there on our own....I just said that whatever we are able to contribute....we Always have. -
And so there you have it, doubters. To all y'all who said that there's nothing but stupid puns and unfunny comments on Notox, you're all dead wrong, so y'all can go crawl up like those snake fireworks and die in your sleep.
