Lightning will generally complete the circuit between earth and sky using the shortest path available, i.e. a mountaintop, a tower, a tall tree, etc. When EVERY tree around you is tall, it doesn't matter so much, because then it's just shitty odds if you get hit.

there is one way to avoid getting hit...always carry a 1 iron(golf stick) with you. If lightning starts hold said 1 iron high above your head and you will be safe...cause not even GOD can hit one of those things!

She is NOT standing on a hill or anything. She is obviously inside a house looking out of the window, check the end of clip you can see the roof.
Also she wasnt hit but a tree or bush or whatever some metres away was.
