Booo! I don't like this video. It's discriminatory toward animals. Animals shouldn't be demeaned by making them do trick. Booo! Let animals be themselves. They should be in their natural environments - Dogs belong under car tyres, mice in microwaves, and cats, flung by the tail off of balconies.

It's just a joke, based on the stereotype that Singaporeans eat animals considered as pets in other cultures (probably due to the many influences of other countries in cuisine). Singapore actually has terrific food. I personally like Hainanese chicken & rice, or a good Satay Lembu. With that said however, after my various trips to south east asia over 3 years, there are indeed someplaces that sell dog as a food item. ..just couldn't bring myself to eat it though.

It doesn't have to be "dog, cat, or rat" specifically for the humor of stereotype. Last time I checked, horse, turtle, and snake meat (all considered to be pets, especially where I am from) have been used in various Sate in Singapore and Indonesia. I HAVE personally seen dog meat for sale as food in various SE Asian locales. In any event, the thing that makes stereotype humor funny, is the absurdity and usually "untrue" factor of it. (even though sometimes it is). Obviously if you're from there it won't be funny, although it would be the same thing as you calling me a "cowboy" just because I am from texas which would be equally unfunny and untrue to me. Also, you're taking this too seriously.
