Actually I think the kick did it. It was high and central, right to the Xiphoid process. I saw a 13-year-old tough kid get KO'd by his 10-year-old thin sister that way. If you don't believe that's a key target, just have a friend punch you there and you'll find out. In this case, he had a delayed reaction and managed to land his KO punch when he was actually starting to fall forward, using his falling momentum.
