But once in awhile I wonder what the deal is with a particular animal. Like with this horse. Maybe he's been really mistreated and doesn't trust anyone... if that's the case, ok. But otherwise, if he's your typical fairly intelligent, well-treated horse, what's he doing kicking a little, harmless kid?
The critter wasn't trying to hurt the kid. Just to ward him off. Otherwise it would've kicked with both hinds and launched Junior into the next county.
