I live in Pennsylvania. I have my CCW PERMIT. I carry a 9mm Beretta with 15 rouds in the mag and one in the pipe. If ANYBODY threatens my life or my family's, I will pull it out and shoot them dead. It is concealed so they will not know I am armed. They, of course, will have played their cards. You keep on living with your archaic attitude towards firearms, you keep relying on whatever liberal gov't you live under to "protect" you, you keep belieiving the police will be there the instant you need them and will put their lives on the line to save yours, you keep on believing your fellow man will even help you or call 911 to notigy the police. My dad has a CCW permit in Tennessee. He carries a gun with him all the time, even on routine shopping trips. Violent crime doesn't give you an itinerary before it happens. People need to be prepared.

i can't wait to have my gun, in Colombia the firearms laws are strict, but is not impossible to have a legal gun, and we have the same problem in USA: stupid people who claims that the firearms are the root of all evil, and that assholes ignore that the criminals do their "jobs" with guns acquired in the huge black market, and they think that banning the legal guns will solve the violence problem, what a bunch of retards!!!!! 
8 examples of a person legally carrying a weapon and using it to stop an act of violence in 2007. 2 of those instances involved a criminal carrying a gun, 2 a blade, 2 a blunt object, and 3 times the person was unarmed. There were also 8 instances of a person legally carrying using the weapon to commit a crime. Those are only the instances where the person was caught or killed.
Stating that countries who have banned firearms have experienced an increase of crime is misleading. Australia is the only country that falls into that category that hasnt also gone through a great deal of political upheaval. Furthermore, Australia has had increases in crime for each of the past 12 years. The year after the gun ban had the 2nd smallest increase.
I am fairly liberal in my ideas but dont favor gun bans some of you need to get facts straight before you start calling names and throwing terminology around.
