Monkies can swim, this one probally got it's feet tangled in weed on the bottom. I used to work as a gardener and we had a lake to maintain as part of our job description for a big manor house and we'd pull out masses of lake weed and it would weigh so much! If you got tangled up in it, you'd drown for sure. That's why little kids drown in ponds. It's not the depth or the water temperature - it's the weeds.
