Do automakers really, honestly believe that people really want such an ugly, impractical piece of shit, regardless of the gas mileage? There has to be a line between butt ugly and reasonably attractive, no matter what the performance features are.
And I don't care what it's made of, if I were to hit it with my 14MPG ford truck, it wouldn't fare well.

All these prototypes will never see the light of day.

I hope the front axel is strong because as soon as that car plows into something deeply secured onto the ground...it will rip them front wheels off and turn the car into a tubular projectile that will continue sliding until it slams into a something big enough to stop it.
