If you ever bungee jump, I recommend having a parachute, a back up chute, an extra cord, a stack of mattresses at the bottom, and a lucky rabbit's foot. Because this would suck.

When I finally bungee'd after two false attempts..
my friends thought it would be funny...when I finally took the leap to yell... "Oh don't jump the cord's not attached".... longest bungee jump I have ever had the misfortune to take...was sooooo fucking happy when I felt the tension...
Unfortunately she didn't...

i actually did bungee jump in my life. only 8 stories. not as high as this bridge. but if i had died while i did it when i got to heaven an people asked how i died i would say " doing something really dumb" . i never got into a banana suit an set myeslf on fire though... but i'm still kinda young.
i'm not saying i'm better or smarter then this girl was, i'm just saying its not something people should pity. she did something insanely dangerous, for no good reason other then to do it, an she died.
that feelng of common sense that you have to fight in order to get yourself off the brodge.... it was right.

Aside from the sheer stupidity of the actual feat, if there is no chance you are going to die, what is the big deal? I can stand on a step stool and jump off, but there is very little chance I will die doing it! That is why acts like bungie jumping and parachuting are forms of death defiance. You are doing something that would normally kill you but with a single means of protection (or when an air matress is used, a double means). Humankind is basically giving death the finger every time someone does something like this. And then when death does get even, you feel sorry for these stupid fucks?? Most people don't do things that are thrilling and think they are to die. Like a fair or a carnival ride. It looks like a bunch of people just out having fun, poor risk management, it looks like the whole cord didn't make it over the edge, and snapped because it was to short, hung up, and broke. The best way to jump is to have the cord hanging over the edge, not wound up in the hand or laying on the ground, it could knot up, or catch on something, likely in this case.
Unfortunate.

It's a real tragedy for those who loved her. The bungee systems, devices, techniques, safety checks and such used at the amusement parks are highly engineered these days. She could had inspirations for rock climbing, repelling, etc. in those sports one becomes dependent on the team members.
dosent anyone else think that was rily suspect?like how the guy holding the camera did follow the woman even tho he was recording her bungy jump?and how he was recording right were it snaped...plus that would suck cuz its ment to be a fun activity with the family.
