wow that's scary, my dad just was fixing my moms car battery and got some old battery powder from the connectors in his nose. he's ok but it's pretty scary to think about.

I can't even begin to think about the physical and emotional agony she went through. Not only did she lose her face but she lost her unborn child.

I think this lady is a phenomenally strong person. I admire here and at the same time feel sorry for her. Then I got to thinking.....

What if the truth was really this: On the night that the deformed lady was injured, she actually was smoking crack with some loser "boyfriend" who was screwing her daughter and paying the little girls crack whore mom for the privilege. What if this lady had 5 kids, each with a different father and she had a criminal rap sheet 12 feet long.

Would we be feeling as sorry for her then?

Probably not. The crime would still be as heinous, and obviously deserving of the same felony charges, but in your hypothetical we would care less.

As it is in reality though, in this particular situation - he's a shitbag, and she's a heartbreaking story.
