It's not a question of whether the hostages were worth $4 mil. The fact is, if terrorists learn that they can get money by holding people hostage, they will do it. If they learn that taking hostages gets them nothing except prison time, or being shot to death by the police, they won't take hostages.

I remember this, the hostage takers were from Indonesia I think... well somewhere around that region. When the sniper shot the glass door he meant to shoot the guy holding the electric cord attached to the woman but the angle of the glass delfected the bullet. The terrorist who started shooting... was shooting because he freaked out... he started shooting to kill some of the hostages.

THIS is the video that changed my outlook on the world. I was like 14 when I saw this on the TV news and it made me sick. I had to go lie down outside and look at the stars and wonder what kind of world we lived in.

Yeah, this happened right down the street from where I lived. I remember watching the whole thing on the news. I was about 10 years old when this took place.

This is funny, actually the sniper tried to kill the guy but the door close right when he press the trigger, he missed the shot, and then SWAT came in, i saw it in a Sniper special on the Military channel, He missed, then swat came in, the reporters put it that way to make SWAT look flawless....LMAO

i live like 5 min from there. it was a goodguys store but shut down a couple years after this incident and now is a dollar tree store. and those wernt terrorists just 4 gang bangers.
