You know, if you watch the video closely at the start, there are 3 people in the top right, one getting out of the first car and the other two are engaging in, what looks like, a struggle. Then when it pans over, you see one throwing something and the other turns to shoot him. It could be that the thrower had hurt the other border patrol (someone's driving that other car) and the second patrolman just realized it and turned and fired to keep further damage from happening to himself or his partner.

well wether this had been provoked by something much bigger or not, and wether or not border patrol agents are getting attacked elsewhere in other times, i don't think anybody was getting attacked here in this inicident accept for the border jumper, after all in this attack and previous ones 99% of the time the agents still have the guns, that's kind of hard to beat if you ask me, that's what i am more sick of i believe, people with guns killing people who don't have guns

Actually, that whole "getting rocks thrown at you still doesn't justify killing them" is absolutely false. When taking any kind of handgun training course you'll learn that you're authorized (any citizen) to use a level of force that's a step above your attacker. If a person is unarmed it's unlawful to kill them. HOWEVER, if they have ANY kind of weapon (stick, bat, screwdriver, ROCK) you have every right to kill them. Read the laws.

It looks to me like the illegal immigrant surprised the border patrol agent by coming from around the other side of his truck. He was moving pretty fast, and was quite close to the agent by the time the agent realized he was there. The immigrant had a rock and moved into a threatening stance. The agent can't afford to wait and see where that rock is going to go, or whether the immigrant has a backup weapon (such as a gun).

Border patrol is very dangerous. There is a lot of contraband smuggling, and even the people-smugglers carry weapons and will not hesitate to shoot at anyone who gets in their way. I don't blame the agent at all. The immigrants shouldn't fuck with them.
