gil69 - he was a track marshal. His role is to tremble indecisively for at least half an hour while the casualty bleeds to death.

When there are no accidents to try to ignore, his brief is to stand in front of the crowd to block their view. Obviously this guy was a beginner, as he only performed half of his duties.

Crashing with a gocart really hurts, i know, about 10 years ago i was in a race and was broadsided by an another racer doing 55 mph and my left knee turned 180 degres. So i know. I hurt5s like hell.

Having worked the Pit Gate at a speedway more times than I care to admit, some of those guys are just crazy. I don't think he was faking. I don't care how tough you are, you get thrown like that, it might just "sting" a little bit... Just Saying.

If you look carefully at the slo-mo he drove up onto the right rear tyre of the cart in front of him which sent him into the wall. The object you see flying is the exhaust pipe (I think) off the cart he collided with.

The racer was just trying to stretch. While pulling on the steering wheel, it came off! (Could you imagine?)

Whatever happened, I hope he's o.k.
