If I'm a responsible citizen, why shouldn't I have the right to carry a firearm so that I can feel safe walking down the street and be able to protect my family if needed? Make laws against using the gun improperly, not laws against the gun.

Normal English Police officers are not allowed to carry firearms, Specialy trained Armed Police units are. What do you think may have happend if these police did have guns, They didnt even manage to pull their Mace canisters. They would have been overpowered, weapons taken and ended up dead.

But if they had guns, they would've taken that into consideration and handled the situation differently. And even if sometimes a gun can be taken away from the officer, that rare occurence still makes it worth having a gun in all the other everyday situations which are more common.

Just to let you know that the diots in this video were actually another blight of britain, they were Millwall football hooligans. Tazer is now issued to police in the UK but again only to the officers who are trained in firearms. I would rather face being hit by my own stick or sprayed by my own CS than shot in the face by my own gun. This video is used in Police training along with many from the states where obviously your guys carry guns and it appears that over there the outcome of such incidents is always horrendous for the officer, if not fatal.

If our cops had guns guns would be more available to criminals which would make us a lot like America ie full of guns and gun crime.
