They were called Peelers after the guy who set up the cops, Sir Robert Peel. I love the way americans defend their cops to the last, even when they shoot some innocent dude or whatever. I mean slamming a guys head into a glass partition instead of giving him a complaints form is defended and justified by some looolah saying that its ok cos its Criminal Trespassing (note I used capitals as well!!) is simply absurd. But then again I think 99% of america is absurd. Take away The Sopanos and Jack In The Box and its up to 100%.
