It might've taken beanbag bullets, a police dog, and showers of pepper spray (which hit the crowd more than the suspect), but we now have one less man with a sword on the streets. And that's probably a good thing.

I was with you up until you advocated the use of words. I prefer cops write down their requests on a slip of paper, fold it neatly, and slide it over to the suspect.
