I am a Security Officer in Oklahoma and as well injoy the site. As a taser owner and a qualified user, If it was me in that situation I most definantly tazed the man. Use of force states many different things including the size of the threat. This man is alot bigger and alot stronger than the officers trying to subdue him. It takes alot of skill to put a pair of handcuffs on correctly and alot more to use 2 pairs. Say the Officers waited and the man grabbed one of thier guns. With his size he could have easily taken it from them. When tazers are in the use of force options they become the FIRST use of force option if verbal presence doesnt work. I think they made the right choice by using it when they did. I would have used it sooner to be honest. I think the Officers could have talked him down but there is always that chance that words wont work.

Not to mention the main use of the taser is to exaust the muscles in the body so you cant fight. By hitting him a second time they were simply making it harder for him to fight back. with the effects of the taser gone immediatly after the cycle, it is very common for people to try to resist further especially people his size that are pissed at the world. He clearly states in the video I DONT CARE WHAT HAPPENS. thats not a good phrase in the law enforcement world. And as a K9 Officer myself he just threatened physical harm on not only another Officer but someones family and closest friend, his dog. We in K9 take our dogs very serious. I would not hesitate to even shoot someone trying to kill my dog. That is the bond we share. They go everywhere with us. Do everything with us. Eat with us. Im gonna hate it when my dog passes from old age much less someone hurting or killing him. But again I think the Officers showed a very extended tolerence level for Mr Mike given the comments made to the Officers.

Yeah, cops had a reason. If it were that guy and I was a cop, I would have probably done it long before they did. They tried that "talk it out" bullshit.
